CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team returns to home action on Wednesday, April 4, at 2 p.m. when they face Tri-State rival Northern Kentucky in the Western Tennis and Fitness Club. Due to forecasted rain on Wednesday, the match has been moved from the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center, to the indoor home of the Bearcats, the Western Tennis and Fitness Club.

The Bearcats return to home action for the first time since dropping a 5-2 decision to California (Pa.) on March 7. UC is currently in the midst of a two-match losing streak with weekend losses to BIG EAST foes Marquette, 6-1, and DePaul, 7-0. Cincinnati registered only one point in these weekend tilts, a 6-2, 6-7, 10-7 singles decision for Ashleigh Witte against Marquette's Rocio Diaz. This win upped Witte's season singles win total to 10 and the sophomore currently maintains her standing as the team leader with a 10-9 season singles play record.

Northern Kentucky enters the match with a 6-6 overall record. The Norse is fresh off a 6-3 victory over Southern Indiana on March 31. NKU was led by great play from both Whitney Thomas and Marta Romeo who teamed up to capture a critical doubles play win and each won their individual singles matches.

The Western Tennis and Fitness Club is located at 5490 Muddy Creek Road (Directions). Admission is free. Follow along with live stats .
