COLUMBIA, Mo. - University of Cincinnati freshman Michael Wolf posted a 9-over par 74-79=153 to tie for 43rd place after two rounds at the Fifth Annual Columbia Orthopaedic Group Mizzou Intercollegiate at the Club at Hawthorne (7,221-yard, par 72).

Wolf (Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller) finished his second round of the day on Monday in a five-way tie for 43rd place and 16 strokes behind leader Ryan Zech of Missouri. Zech ended the two round, 36-hole day at 67-70=137, seven under par 144.

Host Missouri has lead throughout the tournament, shooting 275-289=564. Cincinnati is in 15th place after carding a 317-310=576.

"Even though today was a tough day, I continue to see development with this team," UC head coach Doug Martin said. "The freshmen are still making youthful mistakes and continue to show promise. Tomorrow we start at 8 a.m. and hope to show continued improvement."

Junior David Tepe leads the rest of the Bearcats, tying for 65th place. Tepe (Liberty Township, Ohio/Lakota East) earned a score of 80-77=157. Junior Jared Howard (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) ended tied 69th place at 14-above par at 82-76=158. Tied for 76th, freshman Mike Irvin (Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller) completed his first two rounds of the spring with scores of 84-78=162. Junior Andrew Desmarais (Union, Ky./Ryle) carded an 81-82=163 to take 78th place.

The Bearcats begin their final round of the tournament Tuesday at 8 a.m. CDT.
