CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team will wrap up regular season play with road matches against Louisville on Saturday, April 14 and against Marshall on Sunday, April 15.

The Bearcats are fresh off a 6-1 loss to crosstown rival Xavier on Tuesday, April 10. UC struggled to break through and earn points in singles play with three of the defeats coming in three sets. Senior Safiyya Ismail concluded her Bearcat home match career with a strong performance. Teamed with Kristina Georgieva, the duo claimed a doubles win against XU's Daniella Patton and Andrea Wolf. Ismail's stellar play continued into singles where she dropped Lizzie Oosterbaan in straight sets, 7-5, 6-0.

Cincinnati (7-14) will close out BIG EAST regular season play with a trip to Louisville, Ky. to face the Louisville Cardinals. U of L currently sits at 10-8 on the season after falling 7-0 to No. 26 Tulsa. The loss snapped a five-match winning streak for the Cardinals. A fourth BIG EAST win for the Bearcats would improve their conference record to .500 in league play. Follow along with live stats .

UC will follow the trip to Louisville, Ky. with a trek to Huntington, W.Va. to battle the Marshall Thundering Herd. Marshall currently sports an 11-9 overall season record after a 6-1 loss to No. 26 Tulsa. MU will look to continue their 2012 home dominance where they boast an undefeated 6-0 record on the season. BIG EAST Championship play begins on Thursday, April 19 and lasts until Sunday, April 22. Qualification and seeding are yet to be determined.
