ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team opens the 2012 BIG EAST Championship on Sunday, April 22, at Reunion Resort on the Watson Course.
The Bearcats, seeded sixth, will tee off at 8:50 a.m. and play with St. John's and Georgetown in round one. The second and third rounds will take place on Monday, April 23, and Tuesday, April 24, respectively.
UC will send sophomore Andrea Malek, sophomore Olivia Dose, junior Alex Carl, junior Maria Roos, and freshman Mackenzie Moir to the course, looking to better its seventh-place finish from a season ago.
Malek leads the Bearcats with a 76.6 stroke average. She finished second at the Pat Bradley Invitational in late October. Malek finished in a tie for 29th at last year's BIG EAST Championship.
Dose was tied for 17th at the 2011 BIG EAST Championship, while Carl was tied for 33rd.
