Track & Field Closes Out Trip To Drake Relays

DES MOINES, Iowa - The University of Cincinnati track and field team closed out competition at the Drake Relays Saturday inside Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.

The women's 4x100 relay team of Morgan Gordon, Alyssa Edley, Cameron Gardner and Aricka Rhodes clocked 46.60 in their race, earning a fifth-place finish.

UC assistant Mary Wineberg ran 52.24 in the special 400 meters, placing second behind event winner Keisha Baker (52.03).

Jake Haseman placed 22nd in the men's hammer throw. Haseman had a best effort of 53.74m (176-04).

Chris Littleton and Jake Haseman finished 14-15 in the discus throw with marks of 51.37m/168-06 and 50.17m/164-07, respectively.

The Bearcats return to action next weekend, heading to Tampa, Fla. to take part in the BIG EAST Conference Outdoor Championships from May 4-6 at the USF Track & Field Stadium.
