Carl, Moir Ninth After First Round of PureSilk Women's Collegiate Team Championship

POWELL, Ohio - University of Cincinnati golfers Alex Carl and Mackenzie Moir are tied for ninth after the first round of the 2012 PureSilk Women's Collegiate Team Championship at Wedgewood Country Club.

The three-day tournament opened with alternate shot play on Tuesday. Carl and Moir posted a three-over 75 for the round to sit in ninth position. Notre Dame's tandem of Ashley Armstrong and Kristina Nhim lead the field with a three-under round of 69.

The unique tournament format will feature best ball (round two) and combined score (round three) to determine its champion.
