WEST HARRISON, Ind. - The University of Cincinnati football team entered its final few days with a single workout Sunday at the Higher Ground Conference & Retreat Center in West Harrison, Ind.
The Bearcats will return to campus on Wednesday morning and continue preparations for the 2012 season opener against Pittsburgh on Sept. 6 at 8 p.m. inside historic Nippert Stadium.
When UC begins the academic term on Aug. 27, 2012 the Bearcats will move from a quarter to semester system for the first time since the 1960s.
The quarter system divides the academic year into 10-week periods. The semester system divides the year into fall and spring semesters, each with about 14 weeks of instruction in addition to a summer session with about 14 weeks of instruction.
Fall semester will begin in late August and end in mid-December. Spring semester will begin in early January and end in late April. Summer session will begin in early May and end in early August.
UC will return to practice on Monday afternoon at Camp Higher Ground.
