CINCINNATI - Three University of Cincinnati lacrosse student-athletes were named to the 2012 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Honor Roll.
Rising senior Adrianna Piontek (Mason, Ohio/Mason) and graduated seniors Jenn Doran (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) and MacKenzie Parsons (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) were among 173 student-athletes honored by the IWLCA.
Piontek is a sports administration major with a 3.664 grade-point-average and has been named to the dean's list eight times. Doran, a 10-time Dean's List communications major, earned a 3.637 GPA. Parsons finished with a 3.664 GPA in sports administration and was named to the dean's list 10 times.
All four Bearcats were part of the 2011-12 squad who won the BIG EAST Conference Team Academic Excellence Award, given to the team with the highest collective grade-point averages in each conference sport. The lacrosse team had a 3.415 GPA in 2011-12, including a 3.477 GPA in Fall 2011, which was the highest for any Cincinnati team that semester. Additionally, every current member of the squad has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
