WEST POINT, Miss. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team moved into a tie for fifth place after the second round of the Old Waverly Bulldog Invitational on Teusday (Sept. 11) at the Old Waverly Golf Club.

Olivia Dose moved into a tie for sixth after posting a second-round 71, the fourth-lowest round of the day. She is deadlocked in sixth place (74-71=145) with Regina Plasencia (77-68=145) of Arkansas and Kentucky's Ashleigh Albrecht (71-74=145).

Alex Carl is tied for 15th with rounds of 74-76=150, while Maria Roos improved by 10 strokes on day two and sits in a tie for 38th after posting 83-73=156. Mackenzie Moir shot identical rounds of 78 to post a 156 total and tie with teammate Roos for 38th.

UC's team total of 298 pulled it into a tie with Southern Miss (307-300=607) for fifth. Arkansas (294-291=585) took a one shot lead over Tulane (290-296=586) in the team competition.

Tulane's Gemma Dryburgh (69-70=139) holds a two-shot lead over teammate Emily Penttila (71-70=141) and Kentucky's Emma Lavy (70-71=141) for individual honors.

"The team played hard today," said UC Director of Golf Janet Carl "Several players got it under par today for a period of time. We want to go out tomorrow and try to make some birdies early and fight for every shot."

The Bearcats will tee off at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow in final-round action from Old Waverly.
