CINCINNATI - Senior Jordanne Scott has been named to the BIG EAST honor roll after leading her team to a 2-1 record last week. The middle blocker/right-side hitter tallied 4.23 kills per set and 1.46 digs per set in three matches against Xavier, Rutgers and Seton Hall.
In a 3-2 loss at Xavier, Scott had 22 kills, seven digs and four blocks. She recorded 12 kills and a .250 hitting percentage during a 3-0 sweep over Rutgers and continued her hot hitting in a 3-2 victory over Seton Hall with 21 kills and a .271 attacking clip while adding seven digs and four blocks. Overall, the senior recorded 55 kills, 19 digs, 10 blocks last week.
Scott has recorded double-digit kills in all but two matches this season and has hit at least 10 kills in 31 of her last 33 matches, dating back to Oct. 18, 2011 vs. Western Kentucky.
Scott's 4.39 kills/set ratio this season ranks her second in the BIG EAST and 20th in the NCAA. She also is ranked ninth in program history with 1,454 career kills and sits at 10th with a .286 hitting percentage.
The Bearcats will be back on the court Fri., Oct. 12 when they travel to Storrs, Conn., to take on the University of Connecticut Huskies at 4 p.m.
