CINCINNATI - Senior Jordanne Scott (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) was named the BIG EAST volleyball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Oct. 15. Scott led the Bearcats to a 2-0 week, with two BIG EAST wins over Connecticut and St. John's.

The middle blocker/outside hitter recorded 4.56 kills/set and 2.78 digs/set en route to two double-doubles in two matches. She also added 1.33 blocks/set while tallying 49.5 points on the week.

Against UConn, Scott hit 19 kills with 12 digs and four blocks to lead UC to a five-set victory. In the 3-1 win over St. John's, she had a match-high 22 kills with 13 digs and match-high eight blocks, while also registering a .259 attacking percentage.

With her 41 kills this weekend, Scott moved into eighth on the program's all-time kills list with 1,495. She is only three kills away from advancing into seventh place (1,498). The senior also ranks tenth on the career hitting percentage list with a .285 career average.

Scott and the Bearcats will be back in action on Fri., Oct. 19 when they travel to Milwaukee, Wis., to take on Marquette at 8 p.m.
