LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - Olivia Dose shot a 69 to lead the individual competition after one round at the FIU/Pat Bradley Invitational on Sunday at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club.

Dose is two shots up on second-place Sophie Godley of host Florida International, who posted a 71 through the first 18 holes.

The Bearcats posted a 297 total to sit in second place, one shot back of host FIU. Florida Gulf Coast and Boston College are tied for third with first-round totals of 303.

Alex Carl shot 75 to tie for ninth, while Andrea Malek is tied for 16th with a 76 total. Maria Roos posted a 77 and Mackenzie Moir carded an 80 to tie for 21st and 40th, respectively.

"We had a great team effort today," said head coach Janet Carl. "We need to go out tomorrow and do the same thing. We are proud of all of them and their effort on the course today."

The Bearcats will tee of at 9:30 a.m. in a shotgun start.
