LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team is third after 36 holes at the 35th annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational on Monday at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club.
Olivia Dose is tied for third in the individual competition after firing 69-77=146 through two rounds. Alex Carl (75-77=152) is tied for 17th, while Andrea Malek (76-77=153) is one shot back and tied for 17th. Maria Roos posted rounds of 77-80=157, good for a tie for 33rd, while Mackenzie Moir is tied for 36th after carding rounds of 80-78=158.
"It was a tough day on the course today," said head coach Janet Carl. "We got in our own way and beat ourselves. We're glad we have the chance tomorrow to go out and prove to ourselves that we can and do deserve to play well."
The Bearcats (297-309=606) are one shot back of second-place Boston College, who posted rounds of 303-302=605. Host Florida International leads the team race with rounds of 296-294=590.
Mary Dawson of Daytona State College is the individual leader with rounds of 77-67=144.
The third round gets underway at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
