LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team shot a season-low 296 in the final round to finish second at the 35th annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational on Tuesday at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club.
The Bearcats were led by Olivia Dose, who fired rounds of 69-77-74=220 to finish in a tie for third place.
Alex Carl posted rounds of 75-77-74=226 to finish 13th, while Andrea Malek was one shot back in a tie for 14th after carding 76-77-74=227. Maria Roos (77-80-74=231) was tied for 26th and Mackenzie Moir (80-78-79=237) was tied for 41st.
Host Florida International posted rounds of 296-294-286=876 to win the team title while FIU's Meghan MacLaren captured medalist honors after carding rounds of 76-71-70=217.
The Bearcats posted a school-record three-round total of 297-309-296=902 to finish two shots ahead of third-place Bradley (306-303-295=904). This season, the Bearcats have posted three-round totals of 905 (Cardinal Cup), 904 (Price's Give 'Em Five Intercollegiate) and 902 (FIU Pat Bradley Invitational).
We got very solid performances from everyone today," said head coach Janet Carl. "We played solid all day and put up a new scoring record at UC."
The Bearcats have wrapped up fall play and will open spring competition on Feb. 25-26 at the Sir Pizza Classic in Weston, Fla.
