The Game:
- The University of Cincinnati men's soccer team faces the division leading No. 14/18 Louisville Cardinals in their last home match on Saturday, Oct. 27. The Bearcats will honor seven seniors on Senior Night with a berth in the BIG EAST Tournament on the line. The Bearcats and Cardinals will kick off at 7 p.m. at Gettler Stadium.
Series History:
- Cincinnati is 21-14-2 all-time against the Cardinals. UC leads the series 12-4-1 when playing at Gettler Stadium. Louisville has won the last five matches.
Story Lines:
- Head coach Hylton Dayes is in his 12th season at Cincinnati and 23rd as a head coach. Dayes holds an 98-96-34 mark at UC and a 195-180-53 overall record.
- Dayes is the second-winningest coach in UC history behind only Bob Muro, who posted a 114- 111-13 mark in 12 seasons on the Bearcats sideline.
- DeNormandie scored for the second straight game against Rutgers and has figured in the last five Bearcats goals (2G, 3A).
- UC posted its eighth shutout of the season with Taylor Hafling making two saves.
- The Bearcats have allowed just three goals in eight home matches this season and have seven shutouts in the last nine home contests dating to 2011.
- Senior forward Leon Powell scored a pair of goals less than a minute apart and the University of Cincinnati men's soccer team played to a 3-3 double-overtime draw at DePaul on Oct. 17 at Wish Field.
- Powell notched his second career multiple-goal game. He also scored twice on Sept. 11, 2011, against IUPUI in Gettler Stadium.
- UC scored multiple goals in a game for the first time this season and for the first time since Oct. 22, 2011, in a 4-2 loss at Syracuse, a span of 17 matches.
- Cincinnati set a school record with its fifth consecutive shutout against Syracuse on Sept. 29 and extended the streak to six with a 0-0 draw vs. No. 21/20 USF. The Bearcats' shutout streak was snapped at 672 minutes at No. 12/16 St. John's on Oct. 6.
