CINCINNATI - Senior Jordanne Scott (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) has been named to the BIG EAST honor roll after leading her team to a 2-1 record last week. The middle blocker/right-side hitter tallied 4.22 kills per set and a .275 hitting percentage in three matches, including 4.50 kills/set and a .395 clip in BIG EAST matches.
In a loss at No. 14 Dayton, Scott tallied 11 kills and five digs. In a sweep over Georgetown she had 14 kills and a season-high .433 hitting percentage, before notching her fifth double-double of the season with 13 kills and 12 digs in a 3-0 win over Villanova. She also recorded a .357 attacking average against the Wildcats to bring her total to .395 in the two BIG EAST matches.
Scott has recorded double-digit kills in all but three matches this season and has hit at least 10 kills in 40 of her last 43 matches, dating back to Oct. 18, 2011 vs. Western Kentucky.
Scott's 4.37 kills/set ratio this season ranks her second in the BIG EAST and 16th in the NCAA. She also is ranked among the program's top-10 in five statistical categories including fifth with 1,570 kills, 10th with 3,505 total attempts, ninth with 338 block assists, ninth with 484 sets played and fifth with 136 matches played.
The Bearcats will conclude the regular-season with two BIG EAST road matches this weekend. They will face Notre Dame at 7 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 9 before traveling to No. 13 Louisville for a match at noon on Sun., Nov. 11.
