CINCINNATI –Megan Turner closed out a consistent BIG EAST Volleyball Championship performance with a nod to the BIG EAST All-Tournament team, as announced by the conference on Nov. 18. The senior led the Bearcats to their fourth consecutive semi-final appearance, as part of the team’s eighth straight trip to the BIG EAST Championship.
In two matches, Turner recorded an impressive .500 attacking percentage while hitting 2.75 kills per set. She also totaled six digs, two blocks and two service aces during the tournament.
In the first match against No. 4 seed UConn, the Ontario, N.Y. native had 14 kills and a .520 hitting clip. She added five digs and two aces to pace Cincinnati in a 3-2 ( 25-21, 17-25, 25-20, 23-25, 15-8) victory. In the semifinal round against top-seeded Louisville, she contributed eight kills, a .467 hitting percentage and two blocks in a 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-23) loss.
Turner will take the court one last time on Sat., Nov. 24 when the Bearcats travel to Miami (Ohio) for a 4 p.m. match.
