CINCINNATI -- Sean Kilpatrick scored 23 points, Cashmere Wright added 20 and No. 11/12 Cincinnati defeated Maryland Eastern Shore 92-60 Saturday afternoon at Fifth Third Arena.

Cincinnati (9-0) knocked down 11 three-pointers as a team, including six from Wright, which tied his career high. Additionally, the Bearcats outscored Maryland Eastern Shore (0-9) 46-14 in the paint after UC limited UMES to 29.9 percent shooting.

Shaquille Thomas added career-bests in points (11) and rebounds (seven) in 19 minutes off the bench.

UC controlled the glass throughout the contest, out-rebounding UMES 52-28. Titus Rubles hauled in a career-high 10 boards, while Justin Jackson had nine points with seven rebounds and JaQuon Parker added 12 points and six boards.

Kilpatrick found his shot from the get-go, scoring 10 points within the first 4:27 of the game. After scoring his 19th point on a free throw with 4:11 remaining in the first half, Kilpatrick had as many points as the entire Maryland Easter-Shore team.

A 12-point spurt, which featured three triples from Wright, turned into a 17-2 Bearcats run over a 7:04 span that gave UC a 32-10 lead with 8:29 remaining in the first half.

Kilpatrick (19 points) and Wright (15) combined for 34 points as Cincinnati went into halftime with a 52-23 lead after outshooting the Hawks 55.6 percent compared to 18.4 percent. Wright went 5 for 5 from three-point range in the first half, while Kilpatrick made 2 of 5.

UC's 52 first-half points are a season-high.

UC will attempt to start 10-0 for the second time in three seasons when it travels to Charleston, W.Va. to play the Marshall on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. The game will be televised by CBS Sports Network and available on 700 WLW.
