CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati men's golf team traveled to Tallahassee, Fla., where it will compete in the 2013 Seminole Intercollegiate tournament at the Southwood Golf Club March 15-17.

The three-day event features 54 holes of stroke play at the par 72, 7,172 yard course. Play will begin at approximately 8:15 a.m. on all three days.

Cincinnati is led by freshman Emerson Newsome (Hoschton, Ga./Mill Creek) who is averaging 75.1 strokes per round in 16 rounds of fall and spring play. During the USF Invite March 3-5, he finished tied for 47th after scoring a team-low 227 in three rounds (80-75-73). Sophomore Michael Wolf finished second for the Bearcats at the USF Invite, scoring a 229 (74-74-81).

The year's field features 11 teams, seven of which qualified for the 2012 NCAA Championship. Four teams are ranked in the top-50 by golfweek.com. Joining the Bearcats in competition are Boston College, No. 48 Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, No. 20 Florida State, Mercer, No. 43 Mississippi State, No. 41 North Carolina, Ohio State, South Florida and Troy.

The individual field will be headlined by Florida State's Daniel Berger, the No. 5 ranked player in the nation.
