CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati's women's lacrosse team, in conjunction with UCATS, is hosting its inaugural BBQ Bash on Friday, April 26, 2013. The event will take place at the Sheakley Athletics Center immediately following the lacrosse game between UC and Villanova, which is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
Tickets for the Bash are $40 per person, which includes dinner and refreshments, and all proceeds directly benefit UC lacrosse. Guests age 21 and under are $30 per person, while those age six and under are admitted free.
"We are really excited for our inaugural Bash on April 26," said UC Lacrosse Head Coach Gina Oliver. "This is just one way we are celebrating our season and thanking our friends and families for all their support. We are eager to continue the growth of our program and build upon the success of this year."
A silent auction and raffle will be held at the Bash. Auction items include four Cincinnati Reds tickets (located behind home plate), special items from UC football and both men's and women's basketball teams. There will also be several baskets, including Shop 'Til You Drop and UC Tailgaters baskets.
"The inaugural BBQ Bash will be a great opportunity for friends of the program to enjoy an evening of good food, fun and camaraderie in support of UC lacrosse," said UCATS Associate Director Katie Pavel. "Raising money and getting the community involved is crucial as Coach Oliver works to build this young program. This event will help in both those areas."
