CINCINNATI - Junior Dayeesha Hollins (Cincinnati, Ohio/Michigan) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. The honor is the third for Hollins this season and the fifth of her career.

Hollins led the Bearcats to a pair of conference wins last week as UC defeated Pittsburgh (59-50) and Providence (64-45). The junior guard averaged 17 points, 4.5 assists, four rebounds and two steals per contest. She shot 56.5 percent (13-of-23) from the floor and 89 percent (8-of-9) from the free throw line. Playing 61 minutes combined, she committed just four turnovers for an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.3.

Hollins poured in 17 points during each of UC's wins this week, starting with Pittsburgh. She added three steals, three rebounds and was 7-of-8 from the free throw line against the Panthers.

Hollins finished the week by going 8-of-12 from the floor during the win over Providence. Hollins sparked the scoring for UC, netting the first five points of the contest, finishing with 11 at the half. The Cincinnati native also grabbed five rebounds and dished out seven assists.

Hollins has been UC's leading scorer all season, currently averaging 15.1 points and ranking eighth in the BIG EAST in scoring. Her rate of 77.2 percent from the free throw line also leads the team and ranks 13th in the conference. Overall she is 32-of-36 (88.9 percent) from the charity stripe over the last seven games. The pair of double-digit games last week brought her career total to 70.
