CINCINNATI - Justin Jackson (Cocoa Beach, Fla./Arlington Country Day), Sean Kilpatrick (Yonkers, N.Y./Notre Dame Prep) and Jermaine Sanders (Far Rockaway, N.Y./Rice) all found double figures and the No. 15/16 University of Cincinnati men's basketball team won its 11 straight game Thursday, handing UCF a 69-51 defeat inside Fifth Third Arena.

Jackson played 38 minutes, scoring 12 points after going 6-for-9 from the field, blocked a career-high tying seven shots and grabbed four steals and a pair of rebounds. It was the third time in his career blocking seven shots.

Kilpatrick scored a game-high 19 points and added three assists. The senior scored 14 of his 19 in the second half after suffering some foul trouble in the early going. He drained three triples and was 4-of-4 from the charity stripe.

Sanders had 10 points and four rebounds off the bench, his sixth double-figure scoring game of the season.

Cincinnati (18-2, 7-0 American) moved its winning streak to 11 games and have won the past 16 games at home. The Bearcats have held each of their last 27 opponents under 70 points, the longest active streak in the nation. UCF (9-8, 1-5 American) dropped its fifth straight road game and fourth overall.

The Bearcats opened the second half on an 18-5 run to lead 48-32 with 14:45 to go. UC pushed the lead to as many as 20, forcing 14 turnovers and converting them into 22 points.

Calvin Newell led UCF with 12 points; Staphon Blair added 11 and Isaiah Sykes grabbed a team-best eight rebounds in the loss.

UC led 30-27 at the half behind eight points and five blocks from Jackson. Kilpatrick scored five despite being limited to nine minutes due to foul trouble.

Down four, 13-9 with 12:47 left in the half, UC went on an 18-5 run over a span of 9:31 that pushed the Bearcats to a nine-point advantage, 27-18 with 3:16 left in the opening stanza. UCF went on a 7-0 run over 48 seconds pulled them to within two, 27-25 with 1:18 left. That was the closest the Knights would get for the rest of the evening.

The Bearcats start a two-game road swing on Saturday, heading to Philadelphia to take on the Temple Owls. UC knocked off Temple 69-58 in Fifth Third Arena on Jan. 14. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. with live coverage on the CBS Sports Network and 700 WLW AM.
