THE GAMES
The University of Cincinnati women's lacrosse team visits the City of Brotherly Love for a pair of BIG EAST Conference games against Villanova and Temple. UC faces the Wildcats at Villanova Stadium on Friday, April 11, at 4:00 p.m., before taking on the Owls at Geasey Field on Sunday, April 13, at Noon.

THE SERIES
Cincinnati and Villanova will be meeting for the sixth consecutive season, with the Wildcats holding a 4-1 lead in the series. UC took the first meeting, 11-10, in 2009 at Nippert Stadium. Villanova has won both meetings in Philadelphia, including a 17-10 victory in 2012. Last season, the Wildcats took a 17-7 in at the Sheakley Athletics Center. Taylor Young (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) had a pair of goals and Meg Gulmi (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) made 15 saves in the effort.

Cincinnati and Temple have never met in lacrosse. This is Temple's first season in the BIG EAST Conference. It is the fourth of four new opponents this season for UC. The Bearcats scored wins over Stetson and Winthrop, with a loss to Florida.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Villanova hosts Cincinnati coming off a 12-10 loss to crosstown rival Temple on April 5. It snapped a two-game winning streak for the Owls, who had previously beaten Rutgers, 14-11, in their BIG EAST opener and an 8-6 victory at Lafayette. Meghan Breen leads Temple in scoring with 27 points (20 goals, seven assists). Chelsea Henderson and Jessica Mucci each have 25 points on the season. Jaclyn Fraum is the primary starter in the cage for the Wildcats, posting a 5-4 record thanks to a 9.12 goals against average and .444 save percentage.

SCOUTING THE OWLS
Temple enters coming off a 12-10 victory over crosstown rival Villanova on April 5, which was preceded by a 15-0 loss to UConn in its BIG EAST opener. The Owls are led in scoring by Jaymie Tabor, who has registered 25 goals and three assists, and Nicole Tiernan, who has posted 16 goals and two assists. Jaqi Kakalecik has played a majority of time in the cage, using a 10.74 goals against average and .396 save percentage to post a record of 3-3.

UP NEXT
The Bearcats return home for a pair of BIG EAST games at the Sheakley Athletics Center. Rutgers will visit for a Thursday, April 17, showdown set for 6:00 p.m., followed by UConn traveling to Cincinnati on Saturday, April 19, for a Noon contest. UC then wraps-up the season with a visit from Georgetown on Saturday, April 26 (2:00 p.m.).
