Full College Sports Madness All-Conference Awards

CINCINNATI
- College Sports Madness announced its all-conference selections on Wednesday with two University of Cincinnati baseball players earning recognition. Sophomore Ian Happ (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) was named first team All-American Athletic Conference while senior Matt Williams (Mason, Ohio/Cincinnati Hills Christian) was tabbed to the third team.

Happ, a preseason all-conference selection and preseason All-American, finished the season with a .322 batting average while leading the team with both a .497 slugging percentage and a .443 on-base percentage. He totaled 55 hits, 32 runs and 27 RBIs and had a team-high 13 doubles, five homeruns, 29 walks and 19 stolen bases. The sophomore ranked in the top-10 of the American in slugging percentage (fifth), on-base percentage (sixth), doubles (eighth), home runs (sixth), walks (sixth) and stolen bases (fifth).

Williams led the team and ranked seventh in the American with a .330 batting average, setting a new career high. The senior also ranked third in the league with four triples and produced a team-high 60 hits with 11 doubles, 30 runs scored and 25 RBIs with a .434 slugging percentage and a .421 on-base percentage.

Both players are picking up their second all-conference awards of the postseason. On Tuesday, Happ was named first team All-American Athletic Conference and Williams was named third team All-American Athletic Conference by the league.
