CINCINNATI - Head coach Molly Alvey has announced the addition of two transfers to the University of Cincinnati volleyball program. Lindsey Dinkelacker and Emma Roberson will both join the Bearcats in the fall. Dinkelacker, joining the volleyball program after competing for one season at St. Louis University, will be a sophomore in eligibility. Roberson, coming to Cincinnati from the University of Evansville, will be a junior

"We are lucky to have these two talented volleyball players join our team" said head coach Molly Alvey. They both come from very strong volleyball backgrounds and have college experience under their belts. With Lindsey being a Mother of Mercy grad from Cincinnati and Emma being from Louisville, we know we will have added fans and supporters to the program as well."

Dinkelacker and Roberson join Cortnee Bowser, Christine Chandler, Corie Flood, Maya Muldrow, Macie Pifer and Parker Shepherd, who all previously signed with the Bearcats, to complete the eight-player signing class.

The Bearcats open the 2014 season by joining with Xavier University to host the Queen City Classic on August 29 and 30.

Personal: Full name is Lindsey Marie Dinkelacker … born on February 2, 1994 … daughter of Jim and Betty Dinkelacker … has one sister Lauren … majoring in marketing.

Coach Alvey on Dinkelacker: "I have known Lindsey for a long time; I remember her well from going through the recruiting process with her as a young player. Anyone who knows Lindsey or has watched her play understands her fierce competitive spirit. A relentless fighter is one way I would describe her. I am very excited to have someone of Lindsay's caliber and competitive nature on our team. I know she will fit right in to the culture we have created within the volleyball program. She will be a great teammate and a great addition to this program."

Coach Alvey on Roberson: "I am fortunate enough to have known Emma for a long time as well. She will bring a very high volleyball IQ to our gym. Having competed at the college level for two years, she also will add experience on and off the court to our young team. Emma has a very uplifting personality and a lot of energy. I love that she shows this energy and positive nature on the court. She too will play a critical role in being a great teammate and adding to the camaraderie embraced in our growing program."
