The University of Cincinnati men's cross country program had a strong showing against some of the top competition in the country by finishing 10th at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday morning in Louisville, Kentucky. The women finished 31st overall.
The men had an exceptional race as they took 10th out of 28 teams and defeated four teams that are currently earning a regional ranking (No. 6 Illinois in Midwest; No. 8 Lipscomb in South; No. 11 Georgia in South; No. 12 Tennessee in South).
Sophomore Toby Loveridge led the men's squad placing 44th out of 250 runners with a time of 24:55.84. Senior Kevin Fink finished on his heels with a time of 25:01.18 to claim 53rd. Dan Huben (93rd) and Ian Silver (98th) also crossed the line within the top 100.
The women's team finished 31st overall with senior Ashley Earman leading the way with a time of 18:47.90 to earn 153rd out of 300 runners.
The Bearcats take the next two weeks off before returning to action at the Pre-Nationals Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana on Saturday, Oct. 18.
