CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati volleyball team fought back from a loss Friday night to sweep the University of Tulsa 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-21) on Sunday afternoon in Fifth Third Arena.
Junior Emma Roberson (Brooks, Ky./Evansville) recorded a match-high 17 kills with a .464 hitting percentage to lead the Bearcats. Senior Jamie Netisingha (Westmont, Ill./Hinsdale Central) added to effort with a match-high 14 digs.

- With the win, Cincinnati improves to 11-5 on the season and 3-1 in the American while Tulsa falls to 8-7 and 0-4.

Set 1: UC 25, UT 23
- Tulsa scored four straight points to open the match on three kills and a UC attacking error.
- The Bearcats used kills by Roberson and sophomore Ciara Hill (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) to score three straight points and tie the score at 5-5.
- Back-to-back errors by the Bearcats put the Golden Hurricane ahead 14-12 and prompted a timeout from head coach Molly Alvey.
- A kill by junior Morgan Allred (Carrolton, Texas/Hebron) and a solo block by Muldrow tied the score at 18-18.
- The score remained tight through 23-23 when Cincinnati used a kill by Roberson and a Tulsa attacking error to win 25-23 and go ahead 1-0 in the match.
- Roberson and Hill each tallied five kills in the game.
- Junior setter Caitlin Ogletree (Montgomery, Texas/Houston) dished out 13 assists.
- The opening game saw 13 tie scores and three lead changes.
Set 2: UC 25, UT 20
- Cincinnati used a four-point run, including a kill and service ace by Ogletree, to go ahead 10-8 in the game.
- Another mini-run of three points puts UC ahead 13-10. Roberson tallied two kills during the run.
- The lead extended to 19-14 and forced the Golden Hurricane into a timeout after Allred attacked an overpass for a kill.
- UT pulled to within 23-19 and forced the Bearcats into a timeout, but UC responded by scoring two of the next three points to get the win.
- Roberson notched her 10th kill of the match to record the final point, moving her streak of double-digit kills to 10 matches.
Set 3: UC 25, UT 21
- A seven-point scoring run, propelled by a strong service game from Netisingha, put the Bearcats ahead 8-3 early.
- A UT service error and a service ace by freshman Parker Shepherd (McKinney, Texas/McKinney Boyd) increased the UC lead to 12-5.
- A service error by Tulsa pushed the lead to 21-15 but the Golden Hurricane 23-19, forcing the Bearcats into a timeout.
- A kill by Allred gave the Bearcats match point, and three points later, Roberson finished it with hit that Tulsa could not manage.
