RADFORD, Va. - Former University of Cincinnati lacrosse player Haley Marvine has been named the inaugural head women's lacrosse coach at Radford University. The hiring was announced earlier today by RU.
Marvine is no stranger to new Division I programs, as she was a member of the inaugural team at Cincinnati and played for the Bearcats from 2008-11. She saw action at goalkeeper in a total of 31 games during her career, including 12 during UC's first season in 2008.
The Alpharetta, Georgia, native was also a BIG EAST Academic All-Star for the Bearcats and graduated with a degree in sports management in 2011.
Since departing UC, Marvine coached club lacrosse in the Cincinnati area, working with Natilax, before accepting the head coaching positing at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky.
She piloted Transylvania through its first two seasons of lacrosse at the NCAA Division III level, posting a 12-13 overall mark and a 7-7 record this past season.
