CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati men's soccer team struck first, but dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 16 USF on Saturday night at Gettler Stadium. The loss drops the Bearcats to 3-6-3 and 0-3-1 in the American Athletic Conference, while the Bulls improve to 7-4 and 3-1 in the league.

Ashani Walker (Kingston, Jamaica/Jamaica College) took advantage of a failed Bulls clearance to score his second goal of the season. USF couldn't manage to clear the ball from the top of the box, where Walker won it then turned and fired to give the Bearcats the lead.
Cincinnati 1, USF 1 - Paunic 58'
Nikola Paunic helped USF rebound quickly, scoring on a corner from Lucas Baldin to even the match. Eduardo Maceira took an initial shot off the corner which was blocked before Paunic finished.
USF 2, Cincinnati 1 - Mfeka 61'
Lindo Mfeka put the Bulls on top, converting on a give-and-go just inside the box with Edwin Moalosi.
USF 3, Cincinnati 1 - Mfeka 90'
Mfeka took advantage of the Bearcats pressing to even the match by winning a misplay on the UC back line to score the insurance goal with 15 seconds remaining. Edwin Moalosi picked-up his second assist on the goal.

Walker's goal was his second on the season. The Jamaican, who led UC with five goals last season, registered his first score since the season-opening draw at Northern Kentucky.
