RESULTS
CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis completed the final day of action at the UC Invitational Saturday. Thanks to a rain-free forecast, the second day of action took place at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center on UC's campus.
The hidden dual tournament format pitted the three schools against each other in three doubles matches and six singles matches as it would be in a standard dual meet. However, teams will not play singles and doubles against the same team on the same day and no head-to-head winners are official.

After each school won three singles matches during action yesterday, the doubles matches played a crucial role today. Ball State picked up a win on court No. 1 before Katya Bure (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) and Ali Miller (Portsmouth, Ohio/Portsmouth) rallied to pick up a win at No. 2 doubles. Natalia Abdalla (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Augusto Laranja) fended off a strong effort from the Cardinals to pick up the final win.

UC picked up wins in five of six singles matches to roll past Bowling Green State. Kelly Poggensee-Wei (Lake Villa, Ill./Grayslake North) and Hannah Wille (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway Central) each won in straight sets. Lauren Bellinger (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) battled through a first-set tiebreaker to earn her win while Miller needed a third-set to pick up her win. Abdalla grinded out one of the longest matches of the day to win 6-4, 3-6 (10-7).
// UC vs. XAVIER
The Bearcats struggled against their crosstown rival, winning just one doubles match. With most of the lineup playing up one spot due to an injury, the Bearcats were swept in singles play.
