CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati baseball head coach Ty Neal has announced a fall game for his Bearcats against the Great Lake Canadians, a Canadian club team. The game will be played at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, at Marge Schott Stadium. Admission to the event is free.

The Bearcats will welcome the Great Lake 18U team to campus in what will be the first of six games in nine days for Cincinnati. The remaining five games will be the annual Red/Black World Series.

"This is a great opportunity for our guys to lace `em up against a different color jersey in the offseason," Neal said. "We have been beating on each other all fall and it will be nice to see how this group pulls together with the common goal of beating another team."

NCAA regulations allow for 33 practices within a 45-day period during the fall offseason. The regular season for the Bearcats begins in February.
