The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics announced the week of Oct. 20, 2014 leading up the Bearcats football matchup against USF would serve as student appreciation week. 

The Bearcats and Bulls will kickoff under the lights at Paul Brown Stadium at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 24. The first 6,000 students through the gates on Friday night will receive a complimentary rally towel. All fans are encouraged to come early, be loud and wear black.

An entire week of events and recognitions is planned to honor the Bearcats outstanding student fan base. Several special gameday giveaways are on tap for eight lucky UC students, including a chance to travel on the football team's trip to New Orleans to face Tulane on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014. 

A special student guest ticket rate has been established for the USF game with a discounted rate of $5 a ticket with a limit of four per student.

Through three home games, UC has set a pair of student-attendance records with back-to-back crowds eclipsing 10,000 students against Toledo and Miami (Ohio). Against USF, the Bearcats are going for #UC11K, with 11,000 students in the stands for a football game for the first time.

Several special on-campus events are scheduled with UC athletics coaches, staff and student-athletes showing their appreciation for all the great UC students do for them. 

On Monday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., students can stop by the athletics ticket office in the Richard E. Lindner Center in Varsity Village for free pizza, a DJ and the chance to pick up your USF tickets.

On Tuesday, the Bearcats will be set up outside the Campus Wellness and Recreation Center from 5-7 p.m. with a DJ, tickets and giveaways. 

Wednesday, the traveling show will move to the USquare area between 11-1 p.m. Students are encouraged to stop by Buffalo Wild Wings to pick up tickets, win prizes and get some autographs from UC football players between 11 a.m. and noon.

Thursday, athletics will play host to a grill out near the Lindner Center between 11 a.m.-1 p.m. 

On gameday, students in attendance will be entered in a drawing for prizes which include:

·         Opportunity to lead the team out onto the field against East Carolina carrying one of the flags that spell CINCINNATI (2)

·         Seat for a student and their guest on football charter to New Orleans for Tulane game (2)

·         Courtside Patio seats for student and their guest  for men's basketball opening night on Monday, Nov. 14 (4)

Eight total winners will be drawn during the fourth quarter. You must be present to win.

Prizes can be picked up in front of the Bengals Pro Shop, between Gates B & C at Paul Brown Stadium, behind the student section. Again, students must be present to win.
