MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Goals by John Manga and Stefan Bangsund gave the University of Cincinnati men's soccer team its second straight victory on Wednesday night at Memphis. The Bearcats downed the Tigers, 2-1, to improve to 5-7-3 and 2-3-1 in the American Athletic Conference.

// Dayes On The Match
"This was a great result on the road against a good Memphis team," said head coach Hylton Dayes after the match. "We battled hard tonight and scored two good goals. I thought our team defended very well, especially at the end when we had to withstand Memphis' final push. Alex Gill made a couple of outstanding saves."

// Manga Keeps Rolling
John Manga (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) recorded his 10th goal of the season, making him the first UC player since Kenny Anaba scored 10 goals in 2007. Manga is among the nation's leaders in goals and points. He entered the match ranked ninth nationally in total goals and 14th in total points.

// Two Straight for Bangsund
Stefan Bangsund (Kent, Wash./Kentwood/Highline College) has now scored in consecutive matches after registering his first goal of the season during last Saturday's win over Temple. He becomes the third UC player this season to score goals in consecutive matches, joining Manga and Ashani Walker (Kingston, Jamaica/Jamaica College).

Memphis 1, Cincinnati 0 - Kauker 5'
Kenneth Kauker spotted the hosts to an early lead. Benjamin Ciosanski and Raul Gonzalez played a ball through traffic in the box Kauker to sent it into the upper right corner for the goal.

Cincinnati 1, Memphis 1 - Manga 9'
The Bearcats answered relatively quickly to equalize the match when Manga scored his 10th of the season. Ben Keane set up the striker, who dribbled through traffic in the box before converting to the lower right corner.

Cincinnati 2, Memphis 1 - Bangsund 69'
Bangsund scored for the second time in as many matches to give the Bearcats the victory. He took a pass from Walker and sent it into the upper corner for the goal.
