Bearcats Underway at Hoosier Classic

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team was in action Friday at the Hoosier Classic, completing the first day of action at the three-day event hosted by Indiana.



Katya Bure (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) won her opening singles match in the Crimson Draw over her Western Michigan foe by a score of 6-1, 6-1.



In the Indiana Draw, Ali Miller (Portsmouth, Ohio/Portsmouth) and Hannah Wille (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway Central) each picked up wins in straight sets while Natalia Abdalla (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Augusto Laranja) won 6-0, 6-0 in the Hoosier Draw.



UC went 2-4 in doubles action Friday with Bure and Kelly Poggensee-Wei (Lake Villa, Ill./Grayslake North) teaming up for one win and Miller and Abdalla recording the other.
