Live Scoring/Results University of Cincinnati senior John Michael O'Toole (Pinson, Ala./Pinson Valley High School/Central Alabama CC) carded an even-par 72 on Sunday to tie four other players for 14th place during first-round action at The Intercollegiate at the Grove Country Club (par 72; 7,368 yards) in College Grove, Tennessee. O'Toole was 2-over after eight holes but carded four birdies and earned five other par scores down the stretch to finish at even par. He is tied with Hayes Weathersby of Southern Miss, Jackson Dick of Mississippi State, Jake Marriott of GRU Augusta and Matt Mabrey at Tulsa for 14th place. The five players are five strokes behind tournament leader Dawson Armstrong of Lipscomb, who posted a 6-under 66 in the first round. O'Toole is coming off his best finish of the fall season, tying for seventh place at 1-over 217 at the Pinetree Intercollegiate on Oct. 21. // Team Standings The Bearcats are tied with Belmont and Tennessee Tech for ninth place in the 12-team event. The Bearcats recorded a 10-over 298 score. Troy leads the event after earning a 9-under 279. Southern Miss is second at 1-over 289 while Mississippi State and Lipscomb are tied for third at 2-over 290. // Other Bearcat Scorers UC senior Jared Howard (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome High School) is tied with 10 players for 26th place after registering a 2-over 74. Fellow senior Baxter Reeves (Montgomery, Ala./Brewbaker Tech/Central Alabama CC) is tied with 10 players for 37th position at 3-over 75. Sophomore Jared O'Kelley (Canton, Ga./Creekview High School) and freshman Davis Baxter (Nolensville, Tenn./Ravenwood High School) are tied for 52nd place with seven other players at 5-over 77.
