CINCINNATI
- The University of Cincinnati volleyball team fought back from a 2-0 match deficit but lost in five (23-25, 24-26, 26-24, 25-19, 11-25) to the UConn Huskies on Friday night in Fifth Third Arena.

// Notables
- With the loss, Cincinnati is now to 13-8 on the season and 5-6 in the American while UConn improves to 9-13 and 3-8.
- The match was the 17th ever played on Halloween night for the Bearcats. UC is now 8-9 on the holiday and 5-1 in the last six Halloween matches played in Fifth Third Arena.
- Four players tallied double-doubles for the Bearcats including junior Morgan Allred (Carrolton, Texas/Hebron) (16 digs, 14 kills), junior Emma Roberson Brooks, Ky./Evansville) (11 kills, 10 digs), senior Madi Lang (Commerce Township, Mich./Florida Atlantic) (39 assists, 18 digs) and senior Jamie Netisingha (Westmont, Ill./Hinsdale Central) (17 digs, 10 assists). It was the first-career double-double for both Roberson and Netisingha.
- Roberson's 10 digs were a career high.
- Lang's 18 digs and six blocks were career highs.
- Netisingha's 10 assists was a career high.
- Allred's four assists were a career high.
- Sophomore Lindsey Dinkelacker (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Louis) tied a career high with 12 digs.
- Roberson has produced double-digit kills in 16 of the last 17 matches.
- Netisingha has tallied double-digit digs in all but two matches this season.
- Cincinnati collected a total of 90 digs in the match, the most since registering 92 against Florida State in the NCAA Championship on Dec. 3, 2011.
- The team tied a season high with 12.0 blocks. Senior Me'Ashah Nicholson (Shiloh, Ill./Belleville Althoff) led the team with eight.

Set 1: UConn 25, UC 23
- The Huskies got out to an early 9-5 lead, forcing the Bearcats into a timeout.
- Down 15-11, Cincinnati scored five straight points to go ahead 16-15. Freshman Cortnee Bowser (Kent, Ohio, Theodore Roosevelt), Roberson and sophomore Ciara Hill (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) all recorded kills in the run.
- Back-to-back kills by Allred and Roberson extended the UC lead to 19-16 for pushed UConn into its second timeout of the game.
- The Huskies scored six of seven points to go ahead 24-21 with three kills by Tosin Adeniyi.
- Cincinnati fought off two set points by forcing UConn into two attack errors, but ultimately fell 25-23.
Set 2: UConn 26, UC 24
- The Bearcats were forced into their second timeout after the Huskies took a 20-16 lead following a UC attacking error.
- UC went on the offensive out of the timeout, scoring three straight points to get within a point at 20-19 and tied it at 22-22 on a kill by Lang.
- With a 24-all score, the Huskies put together two straight points to win 26-24 and take a 2-0 match lead.
Set 3: UC 26, UConn 24
- UConn opened an 18-13 lead after scoring three consecutive points.
- Cincinnati was down 22-17 late in the game before employing a four-point run to get within 22-21. Lang and Roberson each tallied kills in the run.
- With the set tied at 24-24, a UConn attack errors and a block by Roberson and Nicholson gave the Bearcats the critical 26-24 set victory.
Set 4: UC 25, UConn 19
- UC took control of the fourth set after back-to-back kills by Hill and a block by Nicholson and Lang put the home team ahead 17-12 and forced a UConn timeout.
- The teams traded points for the remainder of the set as the Bearcats won 25-19 on another Nicholson/Lang block.
- The Bearcats held the Huskies to a .068 attacking clip in the game.
Set 5: UConn 15, UC 11
- Three straight UC errors gave UConn a 5-2 lead and forced Alvey into a timeout.
- The Bearcats fought all the way back and got within one point at 12-11 thanks to a UConn error, but back-to-back kills gave the Huskies the 15-11 victory.
