TULSA, Okla. - The University of Cincinnati dropped a road match at Tulsa on Saturday night, falling 4-1 in its second American Athletic Conference contest of the year.
John Manga (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) scored twice for the Bearcats (3-5-2, 0-2-0) and Alex Gill (Beavercreek, Ohio/Beavercreek) made nine saves in the effort. The Golden Hurricane, a perennial NCAA Tournament contender in its first season in the American Athletic Conference, improved to 5-4-1 on the year and 1-1 league.

Manga now has a total of eight goals on the season. Entering today's action, that total would tie him for fourth in the nation in total goals. That mark is also the most in a single season by a Cincinnati player since 2007, when Kenny Anaba finished the year with 10 goals. The UC record for goals in a season is 21 by Greg Page in 1990.

The nine saves made by Gill were a career high. His previous best was eight saves, a feat accomplished twice last season.

This time Drackett got the scoring play started, setting up Ray Saari, who converted from 10 yards out to push Tulsa's lead to 2-0.

Manga scored his seventh goal of the season to get the Bearcats on the scoreboard, converting from 10 yards out. Matt Remaley (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista)set up the scoring play for his third assist of the season.

Saari struck again for what would prove to be the game winner, scoring an unassisted goal on a strike from 25 yards out.
Tulsa 4, Cincinnati 1 - Rocha 78'
Tony Rocha scored from the edge of the box, crossing it from left to right, on a pass from Kay Duit, to give the hosts an insurance goal.
Tulsa 4, Cincinnati 2 - Manga 88'
Manga beat several defenders and scored on an open net for his second goal of the game.
