LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Junior Emma Roberson (Brooks, Ky./Evansville) and sophomore Ciara Hill (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) led all scorers with 11 kills as the University of Cincinnati volleyball team fell 3-0 (19-25, 16-25, 22-25) to the No. 24 University of Louisville in Louisville, Ky. The match was the second for the Bearcats in the Active Ankle Challenge.

· The Bearcats fall to 2-3 on the season while the Cardinals improve to 3-1.
· For the second straight match, Roberson led the way for the Bearcats offensively. She has tallied double-digit kills in three matches this season.
· With 11 kills tonight, Hill has tallied double-digit kills in three matches this season.
· Senior Madi Lang (Commerce Township, Mich./Florida Atlantic) led the Bearcats with 34 assists while senior Jamie Netisinsha (Westmont, Ill./Hinsdale Central) led with 11 digs.
· UC hit .250 in the final set but were hampered by .079 and .033 clips in the first two games for a match total of .134.
// Set Breakdown
Set 1: UofL 25, UC 19
· UC scored three straight points and took a 5-4 lead on a service ace by freshman Macie Pifer (Euclid, Ohio/Beaumont).
· The teams traded points until the Cardinals took an 18-16 lead following a UC attacking error. The Bearcats responded to tie the score with a UofL service error and a kill by Roberson.
· With the score tied at 19-19, Louisville rattled off six consecutive points on three kills, two blocks and a UC attacking error to win the set 25-19.
· Roberson totaled six kills in the set to lead all players.
· The Cardinals held the Bearcats to a .079 attacking clip in the opening game. Louisville hit .312.
Set 2: UofL 25, UC 16
· Louisville held a slim 10-9 advantage before shooting off four straight points to go ahead 14-9. The Cardinals used two kills and a service ace during the run.
· Louisville again closed out the set with a strong run, scoring five straight to win 25-16.
Set 3: UofL 25, UC 22
· Cincinnati scored four straight points to take a 15-12 lead. The points came on four Bearcats kills by redshirt sophomore Alison Kimmel (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North), Roberson and two by Hill.
· The Cardinals responded with four points of their own to take a one-point lead at 16-15.
· Louisville came from behind to go ahead 22-20 a kills by Maya McClendon and Janelle Jenkins.
· The Cardinals won 25-22 following back-to-back kills by Jenkins and Laura Blab to seal the sweep.

"We definitely got better as a team" said head coach Molly Alvey. "We played great volleyball against a very good team with a lot experienced players. The way we played tonight is what I have been expecting to see from this team all along. Jamie Netisingha stepped up for us big time tonight and was a great leader on the court."

Cincinnati concludes play in the Active Ankle Challenge tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. with a match against Tennessee State in Cardinal Arena. The Bearcats are 4-0 historically against the Tigers.
