CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team used a balanced attack to defeat UCF 70-54 in a home American Athletic Conference game at Fifth Third Arena on Saturday afternoon.
// THE SHORT STORY
After UC held an 11-point lead at one point in the first half, UCF battled back to even the score at 39 all with 13:19 remaining in the game. The Bearcats responded by going on a 17-4 run and garnered a 56-45 lead heading into the eight minute media break. UC then leaned on freshman Ana Owens and sophomore Marley Hill to finish off the Knights as they combined for 10 of the Bearcats' final 14 points aiding Cincinnati to a 70-52 victory.

- Cincinnati opened the game on an 11-0 run. Bianca Quisenberry led the surge with four points while three other players chipped in on the hot start. UCF didn't record a point until 14:26 in the first half.
- The Knights responded with a 9-0 run of their own. UC ended their scoring drought with a layup at 11:02 by Jasmine Whitfield.
- With the Bearcats' lead down to one, UC went on an 8-0 run to improve their lead to nine at the under eight media timeout.
- UCF clawed back to go on a 10-2 run and bring the Bearcats' lead to just one point with 3:11 remaining in the first half.
- Cincinnati ended the half on a 9-4 run to hold a 32-26 lead at halftime.
- The Knights went on a 9-0 run from 17:47 to 13:19 in the second half to knot the game up for the first time since the opening tip.
- At the 10-minute mark of the second half, UC scored 10 unanswered points to take an 11-point lead with 7:55 remaining.
- UC's largest lead came with 34 seconds remaining in the game as they lead by 18, 70-52.

- Cincinnati now leads the all-time series 4-0 after sweeping the Knights in all three meetings last season. Saturday's xx points are the most for UCF in the series.
- The Cincinnati defense forced UCF to miss their first nine shots from the field. The Knights didn't add their first bucket of the game until the 14:26 mark of the first half.
- UC is now 4-1 in games when leading at the half. The Bearcats led the Knights 32-26 at the break.

- Marley Hill finished with double digits for the 11th time this season and the 14th time in her career, adding 16 points.
- Jasmine Whitfield added double-digit points for the ninth time this season and the 14th time in her career with 12 points.
- For the second time in two games Bianca Quisenberry dished out at least four assists, adding four against UCF after totaling five against Houston.
