TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The University of Cincinnati swimming teams opened a two-meet weekend by competing at Southeastern Conference foe Alabama on Friday night.

The Bearcats finished first in five individual events, while dropping both genders. The UC men fell to the Tide, 201-94, while the Cincinnati women lost, 189-103.

// KEIRE WINS TWICE

Sophomore Jackie Keire (Burlington, Ont./Nelson) saw her streak of seven individual victories snapped, but captured two of her three individual events against the Tide. Keire won the 200 (1:50.61) and 100 (51.42) freestyles, but finished second in the 50 freestyle with a mark of 23.48 just behind Alabama's Bailey Scott who finished in 23.36.
