CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team dropped a 56-44 decision to Memphis on Wednesday night at Fifth Third Arena. The Tigers used a second half run to build an 18 point lead and the Bearcats' rally couldn't close the gap closer than seven points.

After a back and forth first half, Memphis went on a 14-4 run en route to building a lead as big as 18 points in the second half before holding on for the 56-44 victory. Cincinnati fought back, using a 14-3 run of its own to climb back within seven points, but a clutch three from Ariel Hearn put Memphis back up 10, 52-42, with 3:31 to play and the Bearcats would get no closer. UC recieved a double-double effort from Marley Hill (Cleveland, Ohio/Columbus Africentric), who's 11 points and 11 rebounds were good for her eighth double-double of the season.
