Bearcats Cap Off Armory Invitational

The University of Cincinnati track & field programs capped off the Armory Track Invitational with a handful of career best performances at the high-profile meet.

The Bearcats' top performance of the day came in the men's pole vault with Adrian Valles taking the runner-up position at 16' 10.25".

Je'Rica Sanders continued her success from last night as she recorded another personal best time in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.26. In her race, she garnered a great start and led until the final hurdle. Sanders ended up crossing the line in third place.

Erika Hurd had a quality performance in the women's invitational high jump as she finished fourth in a stacked field. The junior cleared 5' 10.75" and was just two heights under the champion's mark.

Freshman triple jumper Rebecka Abrahammson recorded a new career best as she jumped 40' 9.75" to finish eighth overall. Her mark surpassed her previous best by a quarter of an inch.

Senior hurdler Bryan Cain closed out his successful meet with a seventh-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles as he ran 7.90.

Cincinnati ended the Armory Track Invitational with 10 total personal best performances and 13 top-eight performances.

The Bearcats return to action next weekend as they head to the Akron Invitational on Feb. 6-7.
