24:45 1st - Courtney Curtis (UC)
Curtis opened the scoring just over five minutes in and gave Cincinnati the early lead, supporting some strong early defensive play. Curtis took a feed from Bell for her first goal of the season. The Bearcats would hold the lead for nearly eight minutes.

15:18 1st - Rachel Sexton (ND)
Sexton scored her first of three goals on the day to put the Irish in the lead for good. It was one of eight free position goals for Notre Dame on the afternoon.

2:43 1st - Bridget Cleary (UC)
The freshman Cleary notched her first collegiate goal to halt an 8-0 Notre Dame scoring run. Cleary's unassisted goal was set-up when her classmate Brianna Miller forced an Irish turnover and the Bearcats came down the field and quickly scored.

0:21 2nd - Megan Bell (UC)
Bell was Cincinnati's leading scorer through six games last season before falling to a knee injury in the seventh contest of the year. Her first goal of the senior season came with just 21 seconds left and provided the final margin of 14-5.

  • It marked the first time in program history the Bearcats opened a season at home.
  • Cincinnati is now 3-4 in season-opening games.
  • Bell now has 76 points on her career, good for fourth all-time. She is just three points behind Kylie Ramsland for third on UC's career points list.
  • Bell's goal gives her 63 for her career, putting her alone in fourth place.
  • Gulmi's 10 saves give her 272 for her career. The junior ranks third all-time at UC, just 11 behind Jennifer Walsh for second.
