CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team couldn't overcome offensive struggles in the first half as UCF picked up a 66-51 American Conference win over the Bearcats.

Cincinnati rebounded from a poor-shooting first half to make 11-of-29 shots in the second half, but couldn't over-come a 15-point first-half deficit. The Bearcats got 15 points from Jasmine Whitfield (Crestwood, Ky./South Oldham) and 10 from Ana Owens (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) in the loss.

- The first 10 minutes of the game saw the two teams combine to score just 12 points. That scoring effort was matches in just one minute and five seconds after each team hit a pair of three pointers on consecutive trips down the court. Jasmine Whitfield (Crestwood, Ky./South Oldham) and Makenzie Cann (Lawrenceburg, Ky./Anderson County) each added a trey for the Bearcats.
- UCF made the first significant run of the game following the three-point burst with the Knights scoring seven-straight points that gave them a 21-10 lead at the 7:12 mark of the first half.
- UCF added a second run to close out the half, using a 7-1 scoring advantage over the Bearcats to take a 30-15 lead at the break.
