CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team picked up their second conference win this season as they were able to roll past Temple by a score of 6-1 Saturday evening inside Western Tennis & Fitness Club.

The Bearcats began the match with a strong showing in doubles play where they were able to pick up the first point of the match. The duo of Lauren Bellinger (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Jerome) and Kelly Poggensee-Wei (Lake Villa, Ill./Grayslake North) started off fast as they ran through their opponent by a score of 8-2.
Katya Bure (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) and Ali Miller (Portsmouth, Ohio/Portsmouth) followed up right behind their teammates and gave the Bearcats their first point of the match winning 8-4. Natalia Abdalla (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Augusto Laranja) and Hannah Wille (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway Central) were holding a 7-4 lead but stopped their match because the doubles point was decided.

Poggensee-Wei earned her sixth straight singles win on the year as she downed Rebecca Breland by a score of 6-4, 6-1.
Bure earned her first singles victory as she posted a dominate 6-1, 6-2 win over Yana Khon and gave the Bearcats the decisive fourth point of the match to claim the win over the Owls.
Miller has continued her superb singles play winning her seventh in a row by a margin of 6-1, 6-2. The freshman still has an unblemished singles record for her young collegiate career.
Bellinger was able to move over the .500 singles mark winning 6-2, 6-4. The Dublin native has a 4-3 season singles mark.
Abdalla was able to earn her second career singles win taking care of Mariana Bedon 6-3, 6-4.

We have a very quick turnaround to get ready for a very solid Ball State team tomorrow.
