CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team fell to No. 2 UConn in American Athletic Conference action Tuesday night.

The Bearcats scored the first five points of the contest and held the nation's second-ranked team scoreless for the first two minutes of the game, but the momentum was short lived as UConn went on to earn a 96-36 win over the Bearcats.

- UC opened the game with the first five points of the contest thanks to a layup from Marley Hill and a three-pointer from Jasmine Whitfield. UConn didn't add their first point until the 18:07 mark of the first half.
- UConn answered with a 15-0 run over the span of two minutes and 15 seconds that erased the early UC edge.
- Cincinnati struggled from the floor to close out the second half, allowing the Huskies to take a 47-15 lead heading into halftime.
- UC went on a 12-2 run thanks mostly to Bianca Quisenberry. The sophomore scored 10 of UC's 12 points in the span of three minutes and 16 seconds. Ana Owens added the other two points for UC.
