The Bearcats started doubles action with all three matches being played toughed by both teams. The duo of Lauren Bellinger (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Jerome) and Kelly Poggensee-Wei (Lake Villa, Ill./Grayslake North) began their doubles action with a 4-1 advantage and would parlay their quick start to an 8-5 victory, giving Cincinnati their lone win in doubles play. The win marks the fourth straight for the pair.
Natalia Abdalla (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Augusto Laranja) and Hannah Wille (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway Central) were playing catch up during their doubles action for the most part. The duo had tied the match at five all but were unable to get it any closer and fell 8-6. After falling behind 3-0 early on, Katya Bure (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) and Ali Miller (Portsmouth, Ohio/Portsmouth) stormed back to knot it at four all, eventually forcing a tiebreaker at seven. UC dropped their tiebreaker and Marshall earned the first point of the match.

Poggensee-Wei earned her team-high eighth-straight singles win on the year as she downed Derya Turhan. The Lake Villa native had a back-and-forth match in the first set against her opponent. After eight games played there was a tie at four all, but Poggensee-Wei cashed in on the next two games to win the first set. Following a loss in the second set, Poggensee-Wei began the tiebreaker set with a 7-5 lead and went ahead and win three of the next five games and earn the tiebreaker to give the Bearcats their first point of the match.
Wille moved over the .500 win mark in singles play on the year after defeating Marija Bogicevic in a difficult three-set match. After dropping her first set 6-2, the junior avenged that loss with 6-3 win, leading wire to wire. The junior carried that momentum into the decisive third set and won handily by a score of 10-4.
