CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis used a dominating effort in both singles and doubles play to blow by IUPUI Sunday afternoon at the Western Tennis & Fitness Club.

The duo of Natalia Abdalla (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Augusto Laranja) and Hannah Wille (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway Central) began what eventually became 24-2 rout in doubles action for the Bearcats by sweeping their opponent 8-0. Wille and Abdalla pushed their doubles record back to .500 after the win. Katya Bure (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) and Ali Miller (Portsmouth, Ohio/Portsmouth) started their doubles play with a 1-1 tie and went on to win their next seven games to clinch the Bearcats second win and claim the doubles point.



Lauren Bellinger (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Jerome) and Kelly Poggensee-Wei (Lake Villa, Ill./Grayslake North) started off the doubles contest winning their first four games. After the twosome drop the fifth game they went on another 4-0 run to complete the sweep of the Jaguars in doubles and earned their fifth-straight win.

Samantha Perry (Grosse Pointe Shores, Mich./ Grosse Pointe South) earned her first career collegiate win after making quick work of her opponent. The freshman started her first set with a clean 6-0 sweep and managed to carry that momentum into the second set winning her next three sets to make it nine games in a row. After falling in the fourth game of the second set, Perry bounced back to win her next three games to claim the match and the Bearcats first singles win of the day.



Ali Miller began quickly, sweeping her opponent 6-0 in the first set. Miller nearly duplicated her efforts in the second set bet fell just short winning by a margin of 6-1. The win marks the Portsmouth native eighth on the year equaling the team high shared with Poggensee-Wei.



Lauren Bellinger dominated her challenger with a straight sets of 6-0, 6-0. The singles win by the sophomore clinched the team's victory, making it five on the year.



Natalia Abdalla commenced her match with a 6-0 sweep in the first set and followed up with a 6-1 win the second to take down her adversary.



Hannah Wille began and ended both sets identically, started down 1-0 and coming back to win both sets by a score of 6-1. The win marks the sixth for the junior on the year.

Today was a nice team win where everybody contributed," said head coach Eric Toth. "Coach West and I are really pleased how our first half of the season has gone. We need to get back to work this week and acclimate quickly to outdoor play to prepare for a challenging upcoming spring break trip."
