University of Cincinnati junior Baxter Reeves (Montgomery, Ala./Brewbaker Tech/Central Alabama CC) finished tied for 32nd place at 7-over par 73-72-78=223 Tuesday in final-round action at the Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday General Hackler Championship at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Sophomore Jared O'Kelley (Canton, Ga./Creekview High School) ended the third round one stroke behind Reeves at 8-over 76-70-78=224. Seniors Jared Howard (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome High School) and John Michael O'Toole (Pinson, Ala./Pinson Valley High School/Central Alabama CC) tied for 69th place. Howard finished the tournament 73-84-77=234 while O'Toole wrapped up play at 78-75-81=234. Freshman Davis Baxter (Nolensville, Tenn./Ravenwood High School) tied for 71st place at 76-79-80=235.
As a team, the Bearcats completed the event in 14th place at 298-296-313=907. North Florida won the tournament after posting a 279-295-287=861. North Florida's Joey Petronio claimed medalist honors, carding a 4-under 68-73-71=212.
Cincinnati participates in the three-day Seminole Intercollegiate in Tallahassee, Florida, beginning Friday.
