University of Cincinnati sophomore Jared O'Kelley (Canton, Ga./Creekview High School) posted an even par 72 to tie for 35th place Friday in the opening round of the Seminole Intercollegiate at the Southwood Golf Club in Tallahassee, Florida.

O'Kelley carded 16 par scores on the day with a bogey on No. 12 and birdie on No. 17.

The Bearcats are 16th in the team standings at 13-over 301. East Tennessee State leads the event at 12-under 276. The tournament includes several highly ranked teams including host No. 2 Florida State (tied for fourth at 284), No. 7 Georgia Tech (tied for ninth at 287), No. 8 South Carolina (tied for sixth at 285) and No. 9 South Florida (eighth at 286).

UC senior Jared Howard (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome High School) is tied for 54th place at 2-over 74. Senior Baxter Reeves (Montgomery, Ala./Brewbaker Tech/Central Alabama CC) is tied for 72nd place at 5-over 77. Freshman Davis Baxter (Nolensville, Tenn./Ravenwood High School) and senior John Michael O'Toole (Pinson, Ala./Pinson Valley High School/Central Alabama CC) are both tied for 77th place at 6-over 78.
